On June 19th, Dr. Tammy Tan, CEO of HymonBio, and all fellow employees arrived at Pingtang County of Guizhou Province to participate in public welfare activities. Initiated by Fujian Provincial Action Education Foundation, this activity focuses on reading and education for rural children, and takes root in the front line of rural basic education, and building a sustainable aid system through projects such as “high-quality children’s book donation.”
For this activity, HymonBio sponsored 30 book corners in two schools in Guizhou, Pingtang County: Kaluo Primary School and Yazhou Primary School. This way, even rural children can gain knowledge from high-quality classic books.
In the morning, everyone arrived at Yazhou Primary School, where the principal led volunteers to visit the campus and held a donation initiation ceremony. Deng Jian, Deputy Director of the Education Bureau of Pingtang County, Peng Rui, Deputy Mayor of Yazhou Town, Liu Langnan, Principal of Yazhou Primary School and other leaders attended the on-site activities and delivered speeches, welcoming HymonBio and company, and encouraging students to love reading. Dr. Tan said, “Youth is the future of the motherland, and strength from youths leads to a strong country. I hope that all students can continue reading, absorb nourishment from knowledge, and strive for tomorrow.”
Volunteers entered the classrooms to complete the respective book corners and interacted, communicated, and shared with students.
In the afternoon, HymonBio volunteers came to Kaluo Primary School, walked into the classroom, and shared rare and beautiful moments.
Education is where roots grow into the earth, reaching for the clouds, one soul awakening another soul.
